Course Description

In this course, Judith Ashcroft, RD, will describe multimodal prehabilitation and key interventions to improve cancer patient outcomes; discuss the importance of muscle and sarcopenia assessments in cancer patients; and demonstrate the impact of multimodal prehabilitation through an example from Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (LUHFT). Originally presented as a live webinar on 18 May 2022.

Judith Ashcroft is a passionate and innovative Specialist Dietitian with 4 years of experience in Prehabilitation for cancer surgery. She has worked in the acute setting for 10 years, specialising in digestive diseases, particularly in elective and emergency surgery and gastroenterology. She has experience working with patients across the cancer care pathway in both the inpatient and outpatient settings and is experienced in establishing new clinical services and patient pathways within the NHS. Since 2017, Judith has been working in the Aintree Prehab Service, which was established for cancer patients on surgical pathways.
