In this UK hosted course, you’ll learn to describe the dietary management of common childhood cancers; identify practical dietary interventions for managing side effects and symptoms associated with childhood cancers; and assess dietary considerations when managing paediatric oncology patients in the community. Gemma Renshaw leads the dietetic team at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) specialising in paediatric haematology, oncology and bone marrow transplant. She has worked at GOSH for over 10 years with most of those years working in the field of childhood cancer. Gemma also chairs a group of allied health professionals working in this area at a national level to encourage research and collaboration and is a member of the international group for nutrition in cancer in children in high income countries, working on standardising nutritional care.
