In this course, Elizabeth Johnson, MS, will describe the primary purpose of the U.S. nutrition food labeling laws, and identify significant changes to the Nutrition Facts Label.
In this course, the faculty will review carbohydrate metabolism and translate nutrition labeling into consumer-friendly terms.
In this course, the faculty will review fat metabolism, describe the role and science of fat in oral nutrition supplements (ONS) and specialty or therapeutic enteral nutrition formulas; and translate nutrition labeling into consumer-friendly terms.
In this course, the faculty will review protein digestion, absorption, use, and synthesis; describe its role and science in maintaining lean body mass; discuss other dietary factors that impact health and muscle function; and translate nutrition labeling into consumer-friendly terms.
