Consent to Participate in ANHI's 2027 Nutrition Education Survey for Physicians

Study Information & Consent

Abbott Nutrition Health Institute (ANHI) would like to invite you to take part in our research study. 

Purpose of the Study

The purpose of this study is to understand how U.S. physicians, fellows, residents, and medical students perceive the nutrition education they received during medical training, how prepared and confident they feel providing nutrition-related care, and how these experiences may relate to patient care and outcomes.

What Participation Involves

If you choose to participate, we’ll direct you to our online survey, which includes 19 questions about your training, clinical experience, and perspectives on nutrition in patient care. The survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete.

Risks and Benefits 

There are no anticipated risks to you by participating in this survey.  

Although you will not receive a direct benefit from participating, your responses may help inform improvements in physician nutrition education and resources, which could benefit future clinical practice.

Compensation

You will not receive compensation for participating.

Confidentiality and Data Use

All survey responses are anonymous and cannot be linked back to you.  We will not collect identifying information such as your name, email address, or IP address. Only the study team will have access to responses. One of the outcomes of this research project is to share the results at scientific meetings and publish the results in a scientific journal, but this information will not identify you.

Voluntary Participation and Withdrawal

Your participation is voluntary. You may stop the survey at any time without penalty by closing your browser.

If you stop before submitting, we will not save your responses.

Once you submit the survey, you cannot withdraw your responses because it will not be possible to link a survey result to you.
