Professor Carla Prado is a Distinguished University Professor, Canada Research Chair, and registered dietitian. She directs the Human Nutrition Research Unit, where her work focuses on body composition, energy metabolism, and targeted nutrition interventions to improve health outcomes in chronic disease. Dr Prado is Associate Editor for two leading journals, serves on multiple international guideline committees, and is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences and a member of the Royal Society of Canada’s College of New Scholars. Her work has earned her recognition as one of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40, one of Canada’s Most Powerful Women, and a Clarivate™ Highly Cited Researcher.
