Infant Feeding: Best Practices for Healthcare Providers

In this course, developed by The Ohio State University, Suzanne L. Smith, MS, RD, LDN, IBCLC, will discuss the basics of tracking healthy infant growth and development; discuss the importance of human milk, safe handling/storage guidelines, and the clinical implications of unsafe handling/storage; discuss different types of infant formulas, safe handling/storage guidelines, and methods to help prevent contamination of infant feedings; and more.

Specialized Feeding: Best Practices for Healthcare Providers

In this course, developed by The Ohio State University, Gina O’Toole, MPH, RD, CLEC, CSPCC, and Emilee Yang, MS, RD, CLEC, CNSC, will identify conditions where specialized infant/child feedings may be required; discuss basics of tracking infant/child growth and development; discuss why safe preparation/handling/storage of specialized infant and child feedings are critical and the clinical implications of unsafe feeding practices; and more.
