Abstract:

In this American Society on Aging blog post, Abbott's own Amy Shepps, MBA, RDN, discusses the Age-Friendly Hospital Measure, which focuses on improving the quality of care for patients ages 65 and older and was included in the 2025 Inpatient Prospective Payment Systems final rule adopted by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The Measure is part of the Age-Friendly Health Systems movement that works to “ensure older adults receive safe, evidence-based care focused on what matters to them.”
